An antique mattress cover. The backside is antique French white linen. There is a 4 button closure. Measures 50 × 48.5 inches. Free of holes. Hand-sewn. On the white side, there are 3 small rust stains and a larger, faint yellow stain. The checked side does not have any stains. It is a beautiful hemp fabric. Found in Provence.
