My friend, Nathalie, is an an amazing seamstress in Provence. She made all of the vintage bags that we currently have in the shop. They are all unique and made from antique French material, linen, and hemp. Her attention to detail includes fully lining each bag with vintage fabric, using a metal snap closure, adding a pocket to the inside, and sewing the bags to have a flat bottom so they can be set down and still stand up. The bags are sturdy and are all roomy enough to use as a purse and still have enough space for extra items you might want to stash in there! The handles are vintage repurposed horse tack and show some wear and aging. All bags have free shipping. The fabric used on these bags is antique and may contain small imperfections or stains.

**This bag is made from a gorgeous vintage linen canvas La Poste mail sack…it is printed with La Poste France Propriete de L’etat on one side and France La Poste 8 on the other side. The bag measures approximately 18.5 inches across and 12 inches down. The inside of the bag is lined with vintage French linen and edged with antique French fabric. There is one large pocket inside made from antique linen. Handmade in Provence.
